Oh, and that gives me an idea for what I'd like to try next time! I'm still recovering from losing that work (I've really convinced myself it would have turned out great), but I'll try my best to get started on one of them soon enough.
I guess the only sort-of-frustrating part is that no matter how many times I've tried in the past two days, I just couldn't replicate it at ALL. Maybe it was one of those once-in-a-while flukes, or maybe I'm just remembering it better.
Oh well! I've moved onto other experiments and stuff. One thing that feels good is that drawing some faces isn't something that feels awkward to me every single time- I think my hands are finally getting used to sketching. I don't think I've improved by much, but for having it just as a hobby, I'm pretty happy
